Educational Journey and Early Achievements
Raised in Oakville, Ontario, Dr. van Beek's educational path began at Western University, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Physiology. His passion for science led him to earn a prestigious national Canadian scholarship (NSERC), resulting in numerous scientific publications and a Master's degree focused on maternal and fetal health.
Transition to Dentistry: A Blend of Science and Art
Driven by a desire to integrate his scientific expertise with a hands-on, artistic approach, Dr. van Beek transitioned to dentistry. His dental studies were marked by groundbreaking genetic research, which he presented on an international stage, contributing to new therapeutic approaches in dental medicine.
Empathetic Dental Practice and Community Engagement
Since beginning his practice in 2008, Dr. van Beek has gained recognition for his unique approach. He builds trust with patients of all ages through his empathetic and attentive care. Beyond dentistry, he is passionate about the outdoors, sharing his love for skiing and fishing with his wife, Jennifer, and actively participating in their children's school and sports activities.

Treena joined our office in 2017 after completing her Dental Assisting Program in Kitchener. Treena is one of the friendly and competent front staff members that greets you with a warm welcome when you arrive at van Beek’s dental office. She enjoys interacting with patients and ensures patients have full understanding of their treatment options and payment considerations. When Treena is not at work she enjoys concerts, travelling, and doing anything outdoors with friends and family.
Lori: Registered Dental Hygienist
With her warm and welcoming demeanor, Lori ensures that each visit to Dr. van Beek’s practice is met with professionalism, understanding, and a genuine desire to improve your overall well-being.
Lori is a skilled and compassionate dental hygienist that brings over 25 years of dental experience to our practice. Lori worked previously as a certified dental assistant before returning to college to become a hygienist, graduating at the top of her class, and receiving the prestigious Golden Scaler award for clinical excellence. Lori has taught dental assisting at the college level, been involved on various committees with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario, is certified in laser therapy and proficient with Sirona CEREC CAD/CAM technology.
Lori’s passion for healthcare radiates through her interactions with patients. Her wealth of experience and her ability to connect with patients on a personal level create an environment where you'll feel at ease from the moment you step through our doors.
Jenn: Registered Dental Hygienist/Dental Assistant
Jen graduated from dental assisting in 2012, and then went on to further her career becoming a dental hygienist achieving a Bachelor of Arts in 2016 from Brock University. She is always trying to succeed and attain her goals in this ever growing and changing career of dentistry and public health. Jen’s friendly personality and compassionate heart welcomes you from start to finish of your appointment with her, providing dental care and education working with each patient’s needs directly.
Megan : Registered Dental Hygienist
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, Megan strives to work alongside her clients in a collaborative effort to help achieve not only a healthy, confident smile, but sustainable overall health. Megan is originally from Ontario but grew up in Alberta. As a family of four you can expect to find Megan, her husband and 2 kids doing anything outdoors including walking their dogs on a trail or at the beach, dirt biking, snowmobiling, or doing anything that involves an engine or motor.
Allison: Registered Dental Hygienist/Assistant
Allison is a valued member of our team who is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for our patients. She graduated with honours in all aspects of her dental education, graduating in 2015 from Fanshawe College in dental assisting and in 2019 from dental hygiene. Along with her clinical role, Allison enjoys working with our state of the art 3D printer completing custom sports guards, nightguards, whitening trays and more in the office. With her gentle and compassionate approach, Allison strives to ensure each visit leaves you feeling comfortable, involved and satisfied with your dental experience.
Sarah
Dental Assistant
Sarah graduated from her dental assisting program out of London in 2015. Sarah brings her positive and compassionate demeanor to our office and works directly with Dr. van Beek. She enjoys working with our patients and helps make the experience as comfortable and professional as possible. Outside the office Sarah enjoys spending time with her 2 daughters and being involved in their sports and extracurricular activities.
Callie
Dental Assistant
Callie graduated her dental assisting program in 2019 from Georgian College in Barrie. She strives to provide quality care while gaining great patient relationships. She is the competent and caring dental assistant working alongside our associate dentist Dr. Azami as well as with Dr. van Beek. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and 2 dogs.
Amy
Receptionist
Amy enjoys building relationships with our patients and educating them on the importance of oral hygiene. She can be found immediately at the front desk upon arrival, with a welcoming smile. Outside the office Amy is an animal lover, at home she has 2 dogs with her spouse.
Lorna
Sterilization Assistant
Lorna is our sterilization expert. You can find Lorna assisting patients to their designated rooms, and sterilizing all instruments used in the office. Lorna and her family moved to Goderich in 2022 from Kitchener. When she is not working here, she can be found helping at the Salvation Amy Thrift Store and at Goderich Place Retirement Home. Her hobbies include metal detecting, crocheting, painting stones, and making birdhouses.
